United Action for Youth Attic

United Action for Youth's 410 Iowa Avenue office housed boxes of wonderful donated baby and child items in their attic. Over time, the accumulated clothes, toys, and gear built up to an inaccessible pile.

JSL members sorted through all the items, then categorized the clothes by size and gear by need. We built a nifty hanging system that case workers could "shop" before visiting families.

New Member Recruitment Event

Prior to the general member spring social, we will meet and greet woman in the community interested in joining Iowa City Junior Service League. May 13th at Share (at the Sheraton) from 6-6:30pm. Know someone who is interested email Connie B. or invite them to join you at the event.

Festival of Flowers

We still need members to volunteer to help at this year's United Action for Youth Festival of Flowers. Wednesday, June 2nd & 3rd, various shifts available.
